We know how important it is for you to understand how we use your data. This Privacy Notice sets out how and why we collect, use, store and share your personal data on our website ingka.com. We are Ingka Holding B.V (“Ingka” or “we”, “us”), and our registered address is Bargelaan 20 Leiden, 2333CT Netherlands. Ingka is the data controller of any personal data about you it collects and processes from this website.

What personal data is collected and why?

Newsletter: If you choose to sign up for our newsletter subscription you will be asked to submit your contact details: name, email address and organisation. We will store this information and use it to send you newsletters, press releases and other communication about Ingka Group until you tell us to stop. If you no longer want to receive communication from Ingka Group you can easily unsubscribe by clicking the link in the email.

Contact form: If you choose to use the contact form you will be asked to submit your contact details: name and email address. We will store this information and use it to be able to respond to your question and otherwise handle your request.

Annual Report feedback form: If you choose to use the feedback form you will be asked to submit your contact details: name and email address. We collect this information for the purpose of reviewing and managing your feedback and may reach out to you to continue the discussion.

In addition, we have cookies on ingka.com that collect information from your web browser on how you use our site. You find more information about this in our cookie policy.

Legal grounds for processing

The legal ground for the processing of your contact details for the newsletter subscription is consent. By actively signing up to receive news and communication from Ingka Group you consent to our collection of your contact details and that we will use it as described in this Privacy Notice. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us. The tracking of open/click rate is done based on our legitimate interest to follow up on our communication.

The legal basis for our processing of the personal data you submit through the contact form is our legitimate interest to process such personal data in order to answer your questions and communicate with you regarding your request.

Who has access to your data?

Newsletter: Your contact details will be transferred to our service provider Sendinblue SAS that we have engaged to administrate our subscription list. Sendinblue SAS will only process the contact details for the purpose of sending you Ingka Group communication and your contact details will not be used for any other purpose. Our service provider will store your personal data on servers located outside the EEA. The transfer of personal data outside the EEA has been secured by an agreement incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Contact and feedback form: The personal data that you submit through the contact form or feedback form will be available only to those of our employees that need the personal data to review and respond to your questions or feedback or otherwise handle your request. We may also transfer your personal data to other companies within the Ingka Group of companies if we deem it necessary to handle your request.

Ingka engages other group companies as well as third parties to help us operate ingka.com and provide thereto related services. These companies act as our sub-processors and we have contracts in place to govern our relationship with these companies. In the event a sub-contractor are located outside of the European Union, the transfer of your personal data is secured by additional safeguards, such as e.g. an agreement incorporating standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Data access, correction or removal

You have the right to contact Ingka to have information about the personal data that we process about you and to get access to such personal data. You also have a right to rectification of your personal data if it is incorrect. If you want to withdraw your consent please unsubscribe to the newsletter or send in your request for withdrawal via the contact form.

How long will we keep your data?

We will keep your contact details until you unsubscribe to the newsletter or until your question has been resolved or your feedback has been reviewed by the relevant person(s).

How will we secure your data?

We take the security of your personal data very seriously. We have implemented various strategies, controls, policies and measures to keep your data secure and keep these measures under close review. We protect your data by using encryption techniques and we use other safeguards such as firewalls and password protection. This means that your data is protected and only accessible by Ingka Group employees (or subcontractors) who need it to carry out their job responsibilities.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make significant changes we will let you know, but please regularly check this Privacy Notice to ensure you are aware of the most updated version.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with the way Ingka processes your personal data, please let us know and we will do our best to address your concerns. In addition, you always have the right to lodge complaint with your local data protection authority.
